It is common to allocate approximately 10 percent of the total wedding budget to flowers.
Bouquets and corsages should complement the attire of the wedding party and featured guests, so provide us with swatches of fabric from the wedding gown and bridesmaid dresses, and the colors of specials guests such as mothers and grandmothers attire. If it is possible, start planning a full year ahead, this is a great time to see the flowers that will be in season for your wedding, and to discuss color schemes. Petals pricing is flexible. We can work within your budget and offer you helpful advice and alternatives. If you don’t have much to spend on flowers, there are creative ways to work within your budget: • Buy flowers that are in season: Flowers that are not in season and not readily available can be expensive. • Be Flexible: You might love a look that is in the latest Bridal magazine but using a less expensive variety of flower could create your own unique look. • Use the more expensive varieties for the wedding party and find flowers in your color palette for the tables and large arrangements that costs less. • Find ways to make flowers do double duty. Bring the arrangements from the church to the reception, or place the bridesmaids’ bouquets around the cake table. • Avoid a wedding date that coincides with holidays when flowers are at a premium. • Choose simply constructed arrangements for the tables and bouquets and simple containers or plants. |
